General Events
Torpedo Bay Navy Museum
Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay to see its latest exhibition, Over Seas – Mā te Moana, a collection of objects brought home by RNZN sailors during overseas deployments all around the world. Exhibits include items such as the decorative tray (pictured above), which was given by the people of Uruguay to the crew of HMS Achilles after the Battle of the River Plate in 1939.
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Fermentation Workshop
Learn to make fermented buckwheat bread and kombucha at the Nataranga Organic Garden Society kitchen. A small koha is requested to cover ingredients, with any remaining funds going to support the garden.
When: Saturday, 3-6pm.

Home Buyers Seminars with Wendy Hampton
Learn all about (or update yourself on) the process of purchasing a home in New Zealand. Come to this free seminar based on all the insights and wisdom Wendy has gained in her years of experience as a property lawyer. Her First Home Buyers Guide will be available to buy.

Devonport Museum
The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history, along with memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, and a collection of historIcal photographs.

Napoleon Baby and King Horse Empire at Tiny Triumphs
A night of free indie and alt-rock music at the Clarence St bar.

Matariki Exhibition at the Depot Artspace
Your last chance to see Mai i te Moana ki te Whenua, a multi-media exhibition, featuring the work of nine artists, that shares stories of Matariki and Puanga, recognising the ways that this time of year is celebrated.

Real Good at Satellite2 Gallery
Grant Alexander’s mixed-media exhibition features a range of around 25 collage and lettering works with painterly touches. Many are influenced by history, media and current events.
