Takapuna Grammar School first XI cricket. 

TGS’s premier boys cricket side faces off against Rosmini at home this Saturday, looking for their first win this season.

General Events 

Harbour Crossing swim. 

Have you got what it takes to swim across the Waitematā Harbour? Registration is still open for the Ocean Swim Series event over a 2.6km course from Bayswater Marina to the Viaduct. Register here

Tiny Dancers Dance Party

Devonport School of Dance invites your young ones, aged 18 months to six years old, to a morning of dancing as classes for different styles and ages will be running from 9.45am to 11am. Face painting, candy floss, goodie bags and the possibility of winning a term of free dance lessons are also on the cards. Event is free, RSVP here.

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum

See the Operation Science exhibition, featuring displays of Belmont Intermediate School students’ experiments. While you’re there, check out the museum’s extensive collection of photos, artefacts, medals and displays.

When: Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Devonport Museum

The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history. Check out its memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, along with its collection of historIcal photographs and display about brickmaking in Devonport.

The Vic Theatre

The Convert (R13) Previews 

Guy Pearce stars in this historical drama from director Lee Tamahori (Once Were Warriors). He plays lay preacher Thomas Munro, who finds himself caught in the middle of a generational blood feud between Māori tribes in 1830s New Zealand . For session times and tickets please visit here.
