North Shore Cricket Club
Saturday brings the first home game of the season for Shore’s premier men’s two-day side, who are looking to bounce back from a first-up loss to Takapuna. Canapés, Opening Day speeches later, with the bar open from 4pm.

The Patriot
David Shanhun, who has opened for Foreigner, Heart, and Three Dog Night, and toured internationally, is ready to rock The Patriot during happy hour tonight.

The Kestrel
Former session player for multi-platinum selling band The Feelers, Phil Stoodley, goes solo for a rocking gig on the wharf tonight.

Singer and guitarist Lauren Collins, who has progressed from busking in the streets of Auckland to playing pubs, clubs and bars, brings her original songs and covers of singalongs and popular hits to the Devonport ferry wharf on Sunday afternoon.

An afternoon of jazz at the RSA
The Impressions Jazz Band, featuring of some of the country’s finest jazz musicians, are ready to lift your spirits this Sunday afternoon with music from around the world, including American, French, Celtic and Latin tunes. Tickets are $15, children 12 years and under go free.

Devonport Market
The Devonport Market is a great place to spend some of your Saturday. The stalls have something for everyone: homeware, crafts, boutique items and more.

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum
Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay for a look into New Zealand’s maritime history. View the wartime artwork of Able Seaman, Owen (Miles) Spence along with the many other informative exhibits.
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Devonport Museum
Devonport Museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history. A great spot to learn more about one of Auckland’s earliest 19th-century European settlements and the place we call home.

The Depot Artspace
Two exhibitions:
Proof of Concept marks the halfway point in a two year journey for the 11 participants in HANDSHAKE 8, a professional development programme for contemporary jewellers. The exhibition an invitation to see ideas, processes, materials still in development, and to help shape their future form.

Creating an Empty Space in Between showcases the combination of folk paintings and Chaekgeori, a historic painting genre that reflected the hearts of scholars and the upper class of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. Artist Ji Yeon Jeong combines the dignity of the nobility and the creative freedom of the common people to express the ways immigrants can enjoy all cultures in a multicultural society.
