Home Land at The Rose Centre
Don’t miss Home Land, the latest production from Company Theatre, directed by Sian Davis. Set in Otago, this gripping drama explores the life of a rugged southern farmer not ready for change. NeverNeverLand: Clubbing Experience
Another night of sophisticated house and nu-disco for over 30s with DJs The Brother Grinn, DJ Spinner, The Coatesville Collective and Rich Coles. A safe and friendly venue for people who need to be home in time for the babysitters. Licensed bar. $20 cash or card on door.

The Vic: The Crow (R16) preview
A modern re-imagining of 1994’s cult classic The Crow, based on the original graphic novel by James O’Barr. Rupert Sanders directs, with Bill Skarsgård taking on the role of the Crow, a heartbroken man who defies death and seeks revenge against those that murdered his soulmate. Tickets here.

The Vic: Midas Man (M) previews
On Thursday 9 November 1961, a man named Brian descended the stairs to a cellar in Liverpool, with world-changing consequences. A biopic on the life of music entrepreneur and Beatles manager Brian Epstein. Tickets here.

Cyanotype Print Workshop with Celia Walker
Learn how to coat paper and expose the image to make nature-based prints, and how to use ordinary kitchen products to alter the colours. This is a drop-in session, so participants can join anytime from 2pm. Suitable for all ages. Tickets here.

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum
Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay to see its latest exhibition, Over Seas – Mā te Moana, a collection of objects brought home by RNZN sailors during overseas deployments all around the world. Exhibits include items such as the souvenir denim jacket pictured below. The jacket is embroidered with the image of a dragon and the names of the countries visited by HMNZS Otago during a Southeast Asian tour in 1970.

Devonport Museum
The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history, along with memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, and a collection of historIcal photographs.

Sponge City at the Depot Artspace
This exhibition highlights the ways that plants and healthy soils, such as those in wetlands, can absorb heavy rain and release water slowly, reducing the impacts of flooding. The 10 exhibiting artists use printmaking to address the recent flooding in Auckland.

A Feather on the Ground at Satellite2 Gallery
Derek March’s collection of work reflects on avian extinction in Aotearoa. The paintings feature falling feathers, symbolising the bird species lost since humans arrived in New Zealand.
