On The Mat Wrestling at the Rose Centre

Legacy Pro Wrestling pays tribute to the famous On The Mat wrestling show with five thrilling matches, one for the Legacy Aotearoa New Zealand Championship. Tickets from $23.25 and available here

Fathers Day Market 

Browse the stalls for a gift ahead of Father’s Day next month.

Raranga Weaving Workshop 

Create treasures using Māori weaving methods under the guidance of  Kiriana O’Connell. This workshop includes a kōrero around harvesting and tikanga associated with mahi raranga. All materials are provided. Free to all participants with koha accepted upon entry. Register here.

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum 

Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay to see its latest exhibition, Over Seas – Mā te Moana, a collection of objects brought home by RNZN sailors during overseas deployments all around the world. Exhibits include items such as a statue of the Greek goddess Athena (pictured below). The crew of HMNZS Canterbury (F421) acquired it while in Crete in 1991. Their deployment was part of the commemorations for the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.

Devonport Museum

The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history, along with memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, and a collection of historIcal photographs.

Book Launch at Depot Artspace 

Devonport poet Ian Rockel’s sixth collection is launched at the Depot this Saturday, with Sir Ian Mune as the MC.
