Midwinter Dip
Come down to Windsor Reserve in your togs or fancy dress to join similarly minded locals in a chilling midwinter swim. The barbecues will be cranked for a Scouts’ fundraising sausage sizzle and free soup or Milo will be on offer for the hardy souls who take the plunge. Register here.

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum
Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay, with its extensive collection of photos, artefacts, medals and more, for a look into New Zealand’s maritime history.

Devonport Museum
The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history, along with memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, and a collection of historIcal photographs.

The Witch Squad
The Devonport Drama teen class presents a magical adventure in which four expelled Hogwarts students hide out in a small Otago town and find themselves uncovering demons and local Rotary club secrets. $10 per ticket, $40 for a family pass. Fire in the mountain

Concre[ā]te at the Depot Artspace
Concre[ā]te is an exhibition that showcases large-scale mixed-media artwork crafted by artist duo 2PARU – Tui Kayoko Hirabayashi and Marie Hemo Titi Mapa. Both artists draw inspiration from the ever-evolving cityscape of Tāmaki Makaurau. They fuse painting, installation, and sculpture into an exploration of urban narratives.

The photo, the object, the story at Satellite2 Gallery
Ten-time World of Wearable Art finalist Beatrice Carlson brings her newest exhibition to Satellite2 Gallery. The photo, the object, the story uses 11 photographs, 11 pieces of jewellery and eight objects to illustrate Carlson’s creative process, capturing aspects of New Zealand history at the same time.

Believe – Rainforest Sentinels
