Rugby: North Shore Rugby Club home semi-final  

Table-topping Shore meets Mahurangi in a North Harbour championship semi-final at Vauxhall Rd on Saturday. A win would see them also host the final next weekend against either Northcote or Takapuna.

Football: North Shore United home game 

North Shore hosts top-of-the-table Fencibles United this Saturday.

General Events   

Torpedo Bay Navy Museum’s new exhibition  

Visit the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay to see its latest exhibition, Over Seas – Mā te Moana, a collection of objects brought home by RNZN sailors during overseas deployments all around the world. Check out this flying helmet and goggles, (pictured below), which belonged to Lieutenant James McAndrew, who joined the Fleet Air Arm in 1940. He was sent to England for initial training and went onto fly catapult aircraft such as the amphibious Supermarine Walrus.

Volcanic Vinyl 

Add some records to your collection at the Volcanic Vinyl sale at Tiny Triumphs this Saturday. A selection of new and second hand vinyl with a range of genres available.

Devonport Museum

The museum has many fascinating displays showing local natural, geological and human history, along with memorabilia relating to schools, transport, early settlers and families, and a collection of historIcal photographs.

Benjamin the Cat statue

Head down to Devonport Library to see how the sculpture of the beloved former library cat has been dressed up for winter. For a look at a selection of the cat’s colourful outfits see the latest Devonport Flagstaff
