Visual Chorus: Flagstaff Gallery
An exhibition of new works from 40 artists from across Aotearoa.
When: Daily, until 4pm. Opens 10am Thursday to Saturday, otherwise 11am.

Graham Downs and Sophie Clark: Final Weekend!
River Spirit. This series of works by local artist Graham Downs depicts water and rivers, using a cubist perspective to capture the feeling of watching a river.
Listen and Feel. Sophie Clark’s works reflect the energy and essence of Piha, on Auckland’s west coast. Waterfalls, native birds and trees, and the ocean are brought inside, to demonstrate the importance of our city’s environment.

Puanga-Matariki Group Exhibition: Te Waka o Rangi
This exhibition explores the rich kōrero shared across the Pacific about our celestial whānau and the many ways different cultures understand these stars. By looking to Puanga, Matariki, and the wider cosmos, we are reminded of our deep relationship with the natural world.
When: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–4pm.

The Infinity Series – Xeduce
Drawing inspiration from baroque and rococo art and architecture, Renaissance-inspired opulence combines with futuristic design in this exhibition of wearable art.

The Rose Centre Art Spot
For the last month of Matariki, artworks by Breana-Ann Kaponga are on display. Each of the nine whetū (stars) of the Matariki cluster is depicted as a native manu (bird).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (M) 3D
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them. Join Spider-Man in 3D, as a new powerful villain no one can see threatens New York.

DJ Ahmet (M). Ahmet, a 15-year-old boy from a remote Yuruk village in North Macedonia, finds refuge in music while navigating his father’s expectations, a conservative community, and his first experience with love – a girl already promised to someone else.

Kiri and Lou Go Raaa! (G). A 60-minute animated feature film prequel based on the TV series Kiri and Lou. The story takes us back to the very beginning and follows a young, feisty dinosaur named Kiri, who is rescued from a flood by a kind purple creature named Lou, starting an unlikely, epic friendship.

Winter Warmer
Time for a vinyl shakedown. DJs, record sales and tunes all day and into the night. Hosted by Volcanic Vinyl and Tiny Triumphs.

Laugh Club: Takapuna Grammar PTA Comedy Night

Bicycle Maintenance Workshop
A new weekly community workshop, offering help with bike maintenance. Whether your bike needs a puncture repaired, brakes adjusted, gears tuned, or you’d simply like to learn some basic maintenance, come along. The focus is on sharing skills, encouraging cycling and helping keep bikes on the road rather than in landfill.

Janet November: Author Talk
Writer and lawyer Janet November launches her novel Heir to a Family Business. The story is set in the 1970s on a Banks Peninsula farm, during an era of change for the rural way of life, with romance and family drama added to the mix. All welcome.

North Shore United Football Club
No fixtures this weekend for North Shore seniors and under-23s in the Northern Region Football League competition. In the community football leagues, local action in the men’s competition takes place on Saturday. The First Team Women won last weekend, and now top Division 1. Their next match is on 16 August.

Friday and Saturday Afternoon Social Pétanque
