Shore under-21s crush Massey to take Harbour title

North Shore Rugby Club under 21s beat Massey 40-0 at Vauxhall Rd last Saturday to win the North Harbour grade championship.
Shore (pictured celebrating, right) scored six tries – three in each half – with prop Apai Ma’u Hinkes grabbing a double.
The win marked a threepeat in Harbour championship wins for Shore’s under-21s – which augurs well for the future of the club. Many of this year’s side will step up next season into the premiers and reserves squads.
Though one-sided on the scoreboard, the final was hard-fought. Shore spent long periods of both halves defending. The final-winning team: Brody Savage (C), Patrick Tousoon, Apai Ma’u Hinkes, Faithinmiracle Taiese, Mac Williams, Lisiate Akolo, Quinlan Te Tamaki, Neumi Tapueluelu, Ben O’Connor, Liam Campbell-Mauafu (C), Riley Scott, Antony Lamipeti, Amalani Taiala, Luke Potter, Harrison Tu’isila, George Lendich, Jake Rabarts, Ted Inch, Lucah Morresey, Lagi Sharma, Nate Tofilau and Scott Tuitupou. Coaches: Shaun Morresey and Brad Tingle.

• Eight North Shore Rugby Club premiers players made the North Harbour squad announced last week: Hunter Rice, Cam Howell, Rory Taylor, Tima Fainga’anuku, Oscar Koller, Taeo Pomale-Time, James Fiebig and James Fairbairn.
