Ngataringa Tennis Club juniors Mala Krzanic-Sullivan and Eddie Biss have been selected to represent Tennis Northern at the 2019 National Junior Teams event to be held in Christchurch in January. Mala is graded as top under-12 girl and Eddie second-equal under-12 boy.

They will be playing against other under -2 (U12) teams from Auckland, Canterbury, Central, Southern and Waikato Bays in Christchurch from 15 to 18 January 2019. The two junior players will also be competing in the 2019 U12 New Zealand Junior Tennis Championships in Christchurch from 19 to 23 January. Mala (11) is one of a record six Ngataringa Tennis Club juniors to be selected as ‘Ballkids’ at the ASB Classic to be played at Auckland’s ASB Tennis Centre from 31 December.

For 17-year-old Patience Davis, it will be her sixth time sharing the courts with some of the world’s best players. But for other club juniors Matisse Irving (12), Elliot Irving (11), Kaiden Pulsford (11) and Ben Drew (10), it’s a rst. Patience is also entered in the U18 Girls Singles at the national junior tennis champs in Auckland this week.
